Compassionate counseling for mental wellness.
About the Therapist
Hey! My name is Lauren Alexander. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor providing outpatient therapy services in Hattiesburg, MS. I have now been working as a therapist for 3 years. My first two years out of school I spent working in alcohol and drug rehabilitation, which often comes with things like anxiety, PTSD, depression, mood disorders, and many other life-altering experiences.
I work extensively with substance use concerns and long-term recovery, supporting clients through relapse cycles, coping patterns, and sustainable change as well as couples seeking steadier communication and reconnection. My approach is steady, structure, and grounded in helping clients build stability - not just short-term solutions.
I am open to help anyone who needs to feel the human connection, wants to find a healthier way to live, or strives to be better for themselves. As your therapist, I believe it is my job to help you feel the uncomfortable things, process the difficult things, and appreciate the happy things. I look forward to working with you to reach acceptance and accomplish the fulfillment and peace you search for!

My Approach
Clients can expect a collaborate, direct, and practical approach. Therapy is structured around clear goals and steady progress, while still allowing space for reflection and growth. I integrate evidence-based treatment approaches into structured care that is tailored specifically to each client's needs to support lasting growth and stability. Outside of the therapy room I value time with my family and maintaining steady routines that reflect the balance I encourage in my clients' lives.
